The Adversary Cycle
Adversary Cycle

F. Paul Wilson's Adversary Cycle is now available from Borderlands Press. Also available is a handsome case to hold all 6 books!

Each Case is hand made, fully lined, bevel-framed artwork, leather, and gold-stamped.

This is the Adversary Cycle Mural created by the popular artist Caniglia especially for our set of limited editions of the 6 volume Cycle. The mural is integrated into a hand-made ALL LEATHER DISPLAY CASE for the entire set of books. When all six volumes are placed in the case, the mural will be visible across the spines of the books and continued on each side of the case. A beautiful, unique item.

Submission Guidelines

At this time, we are no longer accepting submissions for Borderlands 6. Please continue to watch this space for upcoming announcements about future volumes in this series.

"Borderlands is a non-themed anthology which carries on the tradition and high standards established by the first four volumes in this series. It is the intention of the editors to publish new, original, short fiction which pushes the limits of what is being done in darkly imaginative fiction. If you are published in Borderlands you will be part of the expedition to open the gates to new literary territory, and you will help scorch a path through the jagged landscape of the imagination unbound … and all those other neat metaphors.

You don’t need to read a Borderlands story on a stormy dark night, with glowing embers banked in the fire place, and a dark wind howling across the moors. The stories we want can be read under the clear light of day and pure reason and they will still knock you around and put a new rhythm in your head. Which means: we are not looking for any of the traditional bug-bears and boogeymen. No ghosts or vampires need apply. No zombies, no werewolves, no mummies, succubi, or Hitchcockian spouses with plans to do in their mates.

In other words we don’t want stories employing any of the tired old symbols which have defined the genre for far too long.

Having said all that, it would probably be a good idea to sample some previous volumes before submitting your fiction to us.

We receive an absurd number of submissions from writers who have obviously not read any previous of the Borderlands Anthology series, or even the few lines of our market report and guidelines.

We do NOT want any stories of high, heroic, or classic fantasy, serial killers, ghost stories, serial killers, vampires, serial killers, or serial killers.

Writers who send us stories which have obviously been making the rounds are insulting us and demeaning themselves. Please refrain from doing this.
